Saturdays I often spend the evening with my Franciscan brothers at San Damiano Friary here in San Francisco. (The picture is from a previous visit) There is delightful conversation, worship together - both Evensong and a mass, supper, more chat, and prayers before departing. I always leave feeling very happy and refreshed. Often I meet new folks and have made some good friends. There are weeks when my parish has an event (such as the Latin Chant masses that I have written about here), but more and more I go and spend the evening with the friars. Tonight I will be going there for certain!
